3 1/2 Weeks

I am so excited we are going to get to go to Whitefish this weekend. Any of you who are in Whitefish and want to meet Payton, make sure you call me so we can get together. He has grown so much this week I can not believe it. Being a mom has been amazing. Last night, he went to sleep after I fed him at 11 pm and didn't wake up until Gregg left for work at 5:30 am. It was so great to sleep for 6 1/2 hours. Here are the latest pictures and a video.

2 1/2 weeks

Here are some pictures from Mother's Day - May 11, 2008. I had a great first Mother's day. Gregg and Payton got me an Ipod Shuffle. It is so cute and tiny and clips on to you. It holds over 500 songs. I can't wait to use it as I am working out to get back into pre-pregnancy shape. I can't believe how much older Payton already looks!

2 weeks tomorrow

These first two weeks have gone by so fast. Tomorrow Payton goes in for his 2 week check up! As soon as I get a chance I will update his weight and length and any new info from his appointment. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last week.

First doctor's appointment - 5 days old

See you on Friday, Papa!
I love my daddy!
Today was Payton's first doctor's appointment. He is five days old and almost back up to his birth weight at 8 pounds even. Everything looked great! He is in the 99th percentile for height and 45th percentile for weight, though we aren't sure where he is getting the heighth thing from.

Last night he slept through the night. I nursed him at about 11:30 and he didn't wake up to nurse again until 4 am. He has really been an easy, content baby so far.

40 weeks!

Tomorrow is my due date, but I am trying not to get my hopes up that he will be born tomorrow or anything. The good news is if I do not have him by Wednesday, they are going to induce me. So the longest I will possibly be pregnant is 5 more days. I am not even counting Wednesday because they will have me come in at 1 in the morning (crazy huh?!) I really want to go into labor on my own, but I am tired of waiting (I know I am impatient) and I don't want him to get much bigger. Just pray I will go into labor before that. They would induce me as soon as Monday, but apparently they will only induce one person a day unless its an emergency and they are already booked. I am hoping this will give me a chance to go into labor before then, but either way this is finally happening!
Yesterday was my last appointment. My weight gain total is up to 26 pounds, which isn't actually that bad considering he wanted me to gain between 25-35. Hopefully I will leave the hospital considerably lighter and won't have much more to lose. I have a list of people Gregg is going to call when Payton is actually born so if you want to be on the list, let me know! (If you are reading this you are probably already on the list but check anyways)
I am going with some friends to a play tonight. It is actually a musical one of our friends is in. I figured if I am going to be uncomfortable anyways, I might as well be having fun!
Any day now!!

37 weeks (tomorrow)

So I am getting the point where I am counting down the days and praying that Payton decides not to come late. At my doctor's appointment today, he told me that Payton is considered full term tomorrow, so I am starting to get a little antsy. I know he will come in God's timing so I guess I should really just be praying for patience :) The doctor said his head is down and he is "engaged" but since this is my first time at all of this I think it means I am just uncomfortable (not going to have him soon!). By the way I am up to 22 total pounds :0

The last few weeks I have been really busy. I scored 10th grade writing assessments the last two weekends and then between this week and last week I have subbed 5 days. I love the fact that I am helping make our family money, but I am really tired and looking forward to having tomorrow off. My friend Kylee is coming over tomorrow with her 5 month old baby boy, Greg, so I looking forward to a relaxing day to hang out with them and get some new mommy and labor advice. Since Kylee was pregnant when I found out I was pregnant she has been a good source of advice so far and I can't wait for our little boys to be friends with each other.

We got all of our staff application stuff in and I think all of our references are in so now we just have to play the waiting game with that too. I feel like for the next few weeks I will just be sitting around and waiting in general. I guess its just the calm before the "storm" (storm in a good way!)

Since we still don't have internet, no pictures. Sorry!

35 weeks!

Our internet is down so that is why I haven't put up any new post. I can't put up any new pictures because I can't get on from my computer. At my last appointment I was actually down a pound, so my total so far is 20 pounds. I like this because the doctor said I am on pace for about 25 pounds total. The baby is still doing good and growing big. He is head down still so I am getting sore. Other than that I have felt awesome. I got a great opportunity to work as a scorer for the Benchmark writing test for 10th grade. They pay great and I actually enjoy it. It is just for the next two weekends, but it has been cool so far. So that's how God has been providing lately. That and instead of having to pay taxes like we thought we are are going to get some back. I am having a shower here with my college friends on Monday. So that is the next thing I am looking forward too. Hopefully I will be able post pictures soon!

32 Weeks - Baby Shower

This past weekend we got to go to Whitefish for a baby shower. With exception of being in the car for 9 hours each direction, the weekend was awesome. On Friday night we went to high school divisional basketball games. Keaton plays in the pep band, so we went to hear him play and watch the game. It was some really intense games and we got to see some teachers and coaches from the high school that we haven't seen in a while.

My shower was on Saturday at Gregg's mom's church. We had a chocolate fountain with all sorts of fruit and cookies and treats to dip in it. Also one of Susan's friends made homemade ice cream. There were about 20 or so ladies and I got so much nice stuff.

My grandma got Payton a little chargers outfit and Oma got him some Oakland A's clothes. They know us so well!

Nursery

I finally got to set up the nursery! I am so excited for how cute it turned out. The house we are currently living in has a small extra bedroom, which is perfect for a nursery. Since we are renting, I didn't get to paint it, but I still really like the way it turned out. My mom got me the bedding from Target and It love it. It is made of really nice material and is so soft. I can't wait to put our son in the crib. Here are some pictures!

Here is the changing table. My mom got these bins that match the bedding to act like drawers since there is no room in this tiny nursery for a dresser. I love the matching wall hangings too.

Here is all of his tiny little clothes. At my shower, they wrote in the invite for people to bring their favorite books, so Payton already has a little library.

31 weeks

We just signed up for our classes at the hospital and it feels like it is getting close! I am so excited to go home (to Whitefish) next week. It seems like its been so long even though I saw my family a few months ago.

We are in the process of sending in our Campus Crusade for Christ staff applications and it is quite a process. The application itself is about 40 pages long plus we are required to each have 7 references. I am hoping to have it all finished and sent in by tomorrow. Even though new staff training isn't until June, we have to get all this in and get officially accepted before we can get our tickets and start raising support for training. It is all daunting because we will be raising around $6000 for our month and a half of training. I know God will provide whatever we need to do whatever he requires of us, so we are leaving it is His hands.

Here's my latest picture and by the way I have gained a total of ... gasp... 19 pounds. I am tempted to freak out, but I know I am still working out and eating healthy so I am hoping I will be fine :) I will just have to work hard after he is born, so I can get back in shape before we go to Florida in June.

Ultrasound

My doctor had me get another ultrasound, just to double check on the question they had about the adrenal gland before. He said it was mainly just precautionary, but I was happy that I got a chance to see our baby again before he is born. Everything looked great at the ultrasound. He weighed in at 3 and a half pounds which is a few weeks ahead, but not too much. I just am hoping that doesn't mean he is a big baby! He is head down now and we are hoping he stays that way until delivery. He was facing my spine, so we couldn't really get any new face pictures, but the tech was able to get all the info she needed and we were able to verify that he definately is a boy.

Here is a little video she was able to get of his hand moving. His legs are to the left of the picture (you can only see down to his knees) and his head is off the right side. About half way through the clip you can see his hand wave right in the middle of the screen. His other arm is across the top, so you can see his elbow and his right fist. She tried to get better video, but he was asleep and wasn't cooperating so I guess we will have to wait until d-day to get anymore.
