Easter 2012

We had a fun Easter this year.  This was the first year Payton understood the reason we celebrate Easter and the boys and I had a lot of meaningful time this past week talking about Jesus coming into the world and dying for our sins but most importantly conquering death and rising again.
We got cute Easter clothes from my Grandma and Grandpa. So we had to do a little photo shoot of the kids looking adorable.  I could look at pictures of them all the time.  So funny and precious!

We had some cute pictures and some funny ones as usual!

So cute!

They love each other so much.  I hope they are as close to each other growing up as they are now.

I love watching how the boys adore her

Visit from Kendra and Hudson, St. Patty's Day, Palm Sunday and a cool vintage find for Lydia!

Here are a few pictures we took of the kids on Palm Sunday
Kendra and Hudson came to visit the past week! It was so fun to see all the kids play together and spend time with Kendra and my adorable nephew. We stayed busy the entire week and all the kids were plenty exhausted.  How did we get such cute children?

Here is a sweet Little Tikes Doll house I found and a used kids store for Lydia. It was a great deal and with a little elbow grease and a magic clean eraser it is as good as new. It has tons of pieces for it.  I am so excited about it!

Here is a picture of the kids in their green for St. Patty's Day.  Silly crazy picture as usual.
The kids are growing a lot.  Payton got to go to his open house for prekindergarden.  He is so excited for preschool that it is going to be hard to wait for this fall.  He is so ready for school. I love watching him changing from a toddler to a little boy.  He is a tremendous help for me since he can do many things on his own that that little one need help with.  One of his gifts is definitely generousity.  If he is enjoying something he has, he wants to share it with you so you can enjoy it too.  We have been practicing Bible verses with him and he is really good at memorizing.  In the fall he will also start AWANA where he will be able to learn even more verses.  Payton has a funny sense of humor developing and had fun thinking of and executing April Fool's Jokes on people yesterday.  He filled up and m&m bag with gravel and gave it to my dad as a present.  He could hardly contain himself when my dad ripped it open and poured the rocks into his mouth. It was so funny to watch him enjoy his prank.

Kellen is sooo two right now.  He wants to do everything himself, unless of course you ask him to do it by himself and then he wants you to do it.  It is hard not to be tempted to continually use reverse psychology on him.  We are trying really hard to be consistant and I know that this will pass.  He is very affectionate and him and Payton are truely best friends.  Kellen intelligence continues to surprise me.  He learns all the stuff that Payton knows and will surprise us with it because we don't think he listened/learned it!. He knows all his letters and sounds uppercase and lower case. He can count to twenty, knows he shapes and colors and has memorized many of the Bible verses we have worked with Payton on. It is hard to believe he is still two years away from being in preschool and yet he knows almost all the stuff they will teach in preschool.

Lydi has made a huge change lately as well. She is trying more and more to communicate and is starting to understand a lot of what we say.  She is 9 months old and is able to quickly cruise around furniture and crawl around the house.  She isn't walking yet (early I know but both of the boys were around this time) but I am sure she will be in the next month or so.  She has such a joyful and cheery personality and is also one tough cookie! She loves eating all sorts of table food now and loves trying new things.

Oh and Gregg and I are good too! Not a lot of new news on us...we are not as fun to hear about as the kids anyways :)

This week was the Special Olympics Winter Games! We had fun going to the opening day parade and watching Kyler participate (and WIN GOLD!) in snowshoeing.
