Lydia had her first birthday this past Sunday and it was also Father's Day. Gregg and my day were happy to have a pink cupcake celebration for Father's day this year! I can't believe it has already been a year since we brought her home to complete our family. She is such a precious little girl and is a total joy and delight for our family! I love watching the boys with her and it melts my heart to see how they adore and take care of her. She is so different then that boys and it has been so fun to watch her develop. She took her first steps at about 10.5 months but didn't actually start walking until the past few weeks. She cracks us up all the time! The funniest thing she has been doing lately is if you ask her a question (usually food related) she shakes her head yes and says "yeah! yeah!". At her doctor's appointment a few days ago she weighed in at 24.8 lbs and was 29 inches tall putting her at the 50 percentile for height and 90 percentile for weight. I am still nursing her a few times a day and had planned to stop at her first birthday but honestly not sure what I am going to do now. I guess we will just see how it goes! She says a few different words besides mama and dada. She says "abda" for Abby (and all other furry creatures)"up", "yay", "thank you", "hi" (mostly when she picks up something and pretends it is a phone),"more", "gramma", "papa" and screaches! She also gives kisses if you ask her (over and over!) At this point, I am her favorite! Maybe because she loves nursing! but I will take it. This has been one of the craziest years ever with 3 little ones but it has been so awesome! Definitely a lot of love in our house!
